Brews hand one to Cards, 4-3

The Cards scored two runs in the top of the third; the Brewers scored two in the bottom of the third to tie it. The Cards scored a run in the top of the eighth; the Crew scored a run in the bottom of the eighth to tie it. The Cards scored a run in the top of the ninth...the Brewers didn't; the Cards win, 4-3. Adam Wainwright allowed 2 earned runs over 7 IP, gave up 4 walks and 4 hits and fanned 6. Carlos Villanueva allowed 2 earned runs over 7 IP, gave up 4 walks and 3 hits and fanned 1. The big difference? Derrick Turnbow was given a chance with the game on the line in the top of the ninth--with the scored tied at thre apiece, Turnbow serves up a double to Brian Barton...on his first pitch; then, after a sacrifice bunt, serves up another first pitch double to Skip Schumaker. The Crew tries to rebound on Tuesday afternoon.
