Brewers' fans desperate for a 5th starter other than Claudio Vargas to emerge have been dealt a cold, hard reality over the past 24 hours: * Ben Hendrickson has been shipped to Nashville * On Monday, Yovanni Gallardo got the nod against the Cubs...and allowed 5 hits and 3 ER in his 1 IP...marred by a Jacque Jones 3-run shot * Zach Jackson came into the game in the second...and departed 2 1/3 innings later, allowing 3 hits and 3 ER's as well...along with 4 BB's versus a pair of K's Reality bites...as chances are winding down, Claudio Vargas has shown improvement, allowing just 2 ER's over his last 9 IP...Vargas has also faced the Cubs twice--his stat line: 6 IP, 2 ER, 6 K's, 0 BB's, and 8 hits.
