Brews can't get out of Arizona's Webb
Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the D-backs was disappointing, but expected...seldom do the Crew sweep on the road anymore...but how can a Brewers' fan be upset with taking 2 of 3? D-backs' ace Brandon Webb saw his scoreless innings streak come to an end in the first, while Brewers' starter Jeff Suppan followed in the shoes of Yovani Gallardo and Dave Bush to show Ned Yost that the pitchers are ready for the stretch run. Suppan lasted 7 innings, only allowing 3 ER's, while Brian Shouse continued his success by pitching a scoreless 8th. Gabe Gross hit leadoff again, and had 2 of the 6 Brewers' hits on the night, as well as both runs. The Crew is now a game back, thanks to a Cubs' win over the Giants...the Crew takes on the Giants for three, before facing the Cubs for three...the next week is critical for the Brewers' playoff hopes.
