...and just when you thought that the Brewers' road play couldn't get any worse...

...it does. Now the number 19 and the number 4 are near and dear to most Brewers' fans--after all, Robin Yount's #19 has been retired...so has Paul Molitor's #4. Those numbers re-surfaced today...as in the score of Wednesday's Brewers' game...unfortunately, the Brews got Molly's number. In other words, the Rockies swept the Brewers, winning the last game, 19-4. Even worse--Yovani Gallardo proved he could be uninfallible: Gallardo lasted only 2.67...after having given up 11 earned runs on 12 hits; then Carlos Villanueva gave up 4 runs (3 earned)...then Matt Wise gave up an earned run, followed by Manny Parra. Then Brian Shouse gave up 2 ER's. Derrick Turnbow pitched the 8th--and, amazingly--did not give up any runs. The Rockies' 1-2-3 hitters went 9-for-13 (.692), with 10 runs and 7 RBI's. In a strange twist, Joe Dillon led the offense by going 3-for-4 and scoring a run. Oh, and Prince knocked out his 34th dinger of the year. Tony Graffanino left the game with a twisted knee, and will have a day to see if it gets better...otherwise, look for Rickie Weeks to return. Our best bet--this kind of pounding might effect the team much like Justin Verlander's no-hitter did.
